Consultations

Your Consultation Experience

At Apollo Wholistic Living, consultations with Dr Agnieszka (Aggie) Kotzé are designed to understand you as a whole person, not simply the symptoms you may be experiencing.

Each consultation is highly personalised and considers your health history, physiology, nutrition, lifestyle, emotional wellbeing, environment and other factors that may be influencing your health.

Rather than viewing concerns in isolation, the aim is to explore the wider picture and develop an individualised approach aligned with your needs, preferences and health goals.

Naturopathic and holistic care may be used as a primary approach by some individuals or alongside conventional medical care and other health science disciplines. Where appropriate, referral to or collaboration with medical, allied healthcare and other health science professionals may form part of an integrated approach.

What to Expect During Your Consultation

Your journey begins with a comprehensive and integrative assessment of your health history, current concerns, nutrition, lifestyle, environmental influences and other factors relevant to your wellbeing.

Existing laboratory results, medical reports and imaging may also be reviewed where relevant. Where further investigation may be helpful, appropriate laboratory testing or medical imaging can be suggested for discussion or completion through the relevant healthcare professional.

Where appropriate, Non Linear Analysis, or NLS, may also be incorporated as a complementary, non invasive energy based modality within the broader holistic assessment. Information from complementary methods is considered alongside the wider health picture and is not used as a substitute for appropriate medical diagnosis or conventional investigation.

The different pieces of information are then considered together to help develop a thoughtful and personalised health strategy.

The Consultation Process

1. Comprehensive Health Review

We take time to understand your broader health picture, which may include:

Depending on your individual circumstances, this may include:

  • Medical and family history

  • Nutrition and digestive health

  • Sleep and energy

  • Stress, emotional wellbeing, and nervous system regulation

  • Movement & Lifestyle

  • Environmental or occupational exposures

  • Current medications and supplements

  • Previous laboratory results, medical reports or imaging

  • Personal health goals and preferences

Where personally meaningful, individual values and beliefs may also form part of the wider holistic picture.

2. Complementary and Functional Assessment

Depending on individual circumstances, assessment may include existing clinical information, selected laboratory data and complementary modalities such as NLS.

No single finding is considered in isolation. The aim is to understand patterns and relationships within the wider health picture.

3. Personalised Health Strategy

Following the assessment, a personalised health strategy may be developed according to the individual’s health history, current concerns, physiology, lifestyle, environment, preferences and priorities.

The strategy is designed to bring together the most relevant areas rather than applying the same programme to everyone. Existing diagnoses, medications, supplements, laboratory findings and other healthcare recommendations are also considered within the wider picture.

Depending on individual needs, a personalised strategy may include:

  • Personalised Clinical nutrition and nutritional support

  • Herbal and naturopathic support

  • Digestive and gut health support

  • Hormonal and metabolic health considerations

  • Support for  natural detoxification and elimination pathways

  • Environmental and occupational health considerations

  • Sleep and circadian rhythm

  • Stress and nervous system regulation

  • Movement, exercise and physical resilience
  • Hydration and electrolyte balance

  • Immune and microbial health support

  • Healthy ageing and longevity strategies

  • Selected complementary and energy based modalities

  • Further laboratory or medical investigation where appropriate

  • Referral to or collaboration with other health science professionals where indicated

Priorities may be introduced gradually so that the approach remains practical, manageable and sustainable. The strategy can evolve over time as health needs, circumstances, results and goals change.

The aim is to create a coherent and individualised plan that supports the foundations of health, considers relevant contributing factors and promotes resilience, vitality and long term wellbeing.

4. Review and Ongoing Support

Health needs can change over time, so ongoing review may form an important part of the personalised process

Where appropriate, follow up consultations may be used to assess progress, review new symptoms or concerns, consider laboratory or medical findings, and evaluate how well the current strategy is working.

Recommendations may then be adjusted according to the individual’s response, changing circumstances, priorities and health goals.

The aim is to keep the approach practical, responsive and personalised, with gradual refinement where needed rather than relying on a fixed programme.

Where appropriate, referral to or collaboration with medical, allied healthcare and other health science professionals may also form part of ongoing care.

A Truly Holistic Approach to Healing

At Apollo Wholistic Living, health is viewed as the interaction of many interconnected influences rather than as a collection of isolated symptoms or body systems.

A consultation may therefore consider physical, nutritional, biochemical, environmental, microbial, lifestyle and emotional factors, together with the individual’s health history, circumstances, values and preferences.

The aim is to understand how these different areas may interact and to identify meaningful, modifiable factors that can support healthier physiological function, greater resilience and long term wellbeing.

This whole person perspective also recognises that priorities may differ from one individual to another, which is why care remains personalised rather than based on a standardised programme.

Tailored to You

No two individuals are the same, and health strategies should reflect that individuality.

Your personalised approach may take into account your health history, physiology, nutritional needs, lifestyle, environment, medications, preferences, priorities and personal goals.

Recommendations are therefore adapted to what is relevant and realistic for you, with consideration given to your current circumstances, readiness for change and the pace at which different priorities can be introduced.

The aim is to create an approach that is not only personalised, but also practical, sustainable and aligned with your individual health journey.

Comprehensive and Preventative

The approach considers both current health concerns and the foundations that support long term wellbeing.

Where relevant, attention may be given to nutrition, metabolic health, sleep, stress, movement, environmental influences, immune resilience and other modifiable factors that may affect future health.

The aim is not only to respond to existing concerns, but also to support prevention, resilience, healthy ageing and a stronger foundation for long term wellbeing.

Integrated Therapeutic Support

Depending on individual needs, preferences and health priorities, care may bring together a combination of approaches within one personalised strategy.

This may include personalised nutrition, naturopathic and herbal medicine, support for natural detoxification pathways, environmental health considerations, lifestyle medicine, restorative sleep, movement, stress and nervous system regulation, and selected complementary or energy based modalities.

The aim is not to use multiple therapies simply for the sake of doing so, but to select and combine approaches that are relevant to the individual and fit coherently within the wider health picture.

Existing diagnoses, medications, supplements and other healthcare recommendations are also considered where relevant.

Where appropriate, collaboration with medical, allied healthcare and other health science professionals may form part of this integrated approach.
